A comprehensive course on the history and application of protection within the Hoodoo-Conjure tradition, My shield and My buckler is a month long course covering a range of topics around protection work, altars, adornment, different types of protection work, and building a tool kit of layered protections and practices around oneself and home. This course is for the Hoodoos specifically that are trying to gain a deeper understanding on the necessity of protection work, and any black folk looking to develop a tool kit to remain protected in today’s world.
This is a course that is hosted via zoom comprised of 4 1 - 2 hour sessions followed up by a group ancestor elevation and protection prayer service. Each session will have a Q&A towards the end of each session. All sessions will be recorded and sent to attendees after each session, so if any session is missed it can still be accessed and watched after the session and the course.
